Our Story

How We Came to Love Ukraine

Win served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the 90’s and lived in Russia and Armenia and spent most of his time across the Black Sea from Ukraine. He learned to speak Russian and grew to love the people and the area.

Mission 2

When the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, Mindie and Win both became absorbed with trying to find ways to help their brothers and sisters on the other side of the world. With a strong feeling that they needed to find a way to help, they bought tickets to Poland to see what they could do. With hope that a lot of love and a little bit of language would be enough, they found people, places, and opportunities to help.

They have been doing so ever since.

The demand for help was overwhelming. But they quickly identified ways to make an impact. So many families had lost everything, and it was clear that even the smallest acts of service brought a level of peace to their lives.

Meet the Volunteers

Amazing people have participated in trips to Ukraine and Poland. They have helped scale the work to support Ukrainian refugees in the United States, Poland, and inside Ukraine.
