The Monthly Essentials Program (MEP) by Hope Across Borders provides monthly support kits to internally displaced people (IDPs) impacted by the war in Ukraine.
For many, the crisis doesn’t end, it continues in the uncertainty of everyday life. People are rebuilding from nothing, often without reliable access to food, hygiene products, or basic necessities. MEP was created to provide consistent, dependable support.
Through this program, we provide monthly aid kits to IDPs, including:
- Food staples
- Hygiene items
- Clothing and basic necessities
- Baby items
- Back-to-school kits
- Holiday gifts
- Emergency aid (such as solar lights and USB-powered blankets)
Each kit is based on real, identified needs, helping people get through each month with greater stability and support.
We launched MEP in Kyiv, with plans to expand as support grows. Our goal is to provide not just relief, but stability, comfort, and hope.
